Working exclusively with high-quality acrylic paint, Jos builds every composition through multiple carefully applied layers. This layered approach, combined with the use of flat brushes, creates characteristic textures, transparent transitions, and rich visual depth. As light changes throughout the day, new details and subtle color variations continue to reveal themselves, making every viewing experience unique.
A defining characteristic of his work is the complete absence of pure black. By eliminating black from the palette, the paintings achieve a softer, more harmonious appearance with greater luminosity and subtle color relationships. Every color is individually mixed for each artwork, resulting in a custom palette that enhances the individuality of every original painting. Although this meticulous process is time-consuming, it is essential to achieving the desired balance, atmosphere, and depth.
Each painting is created on premium Barcelona linen (approximately 445 gsm), a durable medium-coarse canvas renowned for its strength, texture, and longevity. The canvas is professionally stretched on museum-quality aluminium stretcher bars with a laminated spruce profile frame, manufactured from 100% PEFC-certified wood to ensure exceptional stability and archival durability.

Limited Edition Fine Art Prints

To preserve exclusivity, every edition is strictly limited. Once an edition has sold out, it will never be reproduced.
